Turkey at last

We have just swum in the mediterrean sea! Today we made it in to Turkey and had our first taste of border crossings this one took two hours, sailed through till last check point then back and forth insurance ,visas, they wanted cash only we had no money changed money and then free to go. We are currently in a campsite by the sea with straw umbrella shades and a bar shame we can’t stay, just watched the sun setting over the sea. It was postcard stuff.
Bike continues to draw attention two guys in a van in Bulgaria nearly crashed off the road there eyes were so far out on stalks it was like a Bugs bunny cartoon. We had to ask some Romanian truck drivers to use their grease gun as the rear wheel bearings were beginning to grumble not surprising after our 12km detour on mountain roads yesterday.
The roof continues to be a life saver it was so hot today that I almost burnt myself on the luggage when pulling the bike on the stand yet we can ride most of the time in relative comfort. Looking forward to few days off in Ankara.

It is wet and cold in Denmark today.

When will you get the chance to post some photos? Or are they on here and I am missing them?

I’m so pleased that you’re off and running! If you have the time, ability and inclination, I’d love to get the odd picture so I can run reports in Gambalunga. Next copy date: July 16th. Thanks – Roger
